In this article

The title is the heading of a result on Google, and the meta description is the short text below it. They affect not only the position but also whether someone clicks.

Recommendations

  • Title: up to ~60 characters, the main keyword closer to the start, the brand name at the end.
  • Meta description: up to ~155 characters, a clear benefit and a call to action.
  • Every page needs a unique title and description.

Example

  • Title: Sea-view apartments in Bar | Villa Example
  • Description: Four apartments 200 m from the beach, parking and a terrace. Check availability and send an enquiry directly.
